50mm 1.8 II EF Canon
From Photography Wiki
Contents |
Short Description - Introduction
The 50mm is the low cost standard lens on full frame sensors and a normal portrait lens on crop factor sensors (1.6 multiplier). IQ is excellent for the price.
Build quality is as low as its price, focus is erratic and noisy and the manual focus ring is at best very difficult to use. On the other hand if you can't shell out 3 or 4 times the money it's better then anything else on the market, because at this price range there is nothing else on the market.
If you're new to photography and only own the kit lens it's a must have and will you make discover what photography is about.
